Our Sales and Marketing Interns will be responsible for implementing marketing and sales strategies, providing an excellent customer experience for store members, and driving sales in a retail setting helping us reach and exceed company goals. Our interns will receive focused mentorship from company trainers and managers to learn about business operations in our office locations.

This is not your typical “fetch me coffee” internship, here you will have the opportunity to develop real-word, practical skills that can be applied to any future career in business, marketing and sales.

Responsibilities and Duties of the intern:

  • Engage with store members in major retail locations by taking the initiative to begin conversations and share about our clients products and services
  • Use excellent communication skills both verbally and non-verbally to pitch products and services to store members
  • Identify and expertly manage the needs of each customer, answering their questions accurately and articulately
  • Maintain the kiosk area’s image as clean, professional and tidy at all times
  • Keep customer’s personal information confidential and stored safely
  • Record number of customer interactions, inquiries, and comments with details of any actions taken
  • Receive training in marketing and sales techniques in a team-based environment
  • Apply the skills and techniques learned during training period
  • Participate in all scheduled training and team meetings at the office
  • Arrive to the office and stores on time, demonstrating excellent punctuality
  • Demonstrate an upbeat, positive attitude while interacting with team and customers
  • Take notes on a regular basis of trainer feedback to improve performance
  • Participate in regular rep calls and check-ins to discuss goals and performance
  • Drive sales of products and services through established and learned techniques
  • Set, reach and exceed personal and professional goals related to sales, marketing and customer experience
  • Represent our clientele’s brands with professionalism, integrity and energy
  • Observe and assist manager in business operations related to recruiting, scheduling, interviewing and training new team members
  • Maintain positive and effective relationships with clients through positive representation of their brand and reputation
  • Raise positive awareness around clients’ brands through providing the best customer experience possible
  • Conduct first round interviews with potential candidates
  • Screen and evaluate candidate profiles during the interview process
  • Learn how to prepare and manage employee schedules staffing multiple retail locations
  • Maintain a well-groomed, sharp, professional appearance while at the office and in the store
  • Collaborate together with team and managers to continuously improve oneself and the business

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields is a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to work on a team
  • Ability to commute to San Jose, CA
