Shift 1 - Shift Start Time: 8:00 am


This particular role focuses on the inital setup tablets and phones; approx. 30-50 a day. Experience working with cellular devices, tablets, and understanding of Workspace One. You may also interact with end users to transfer their data from their old device to new or you will erase devices and set them up to be managed by Workspace One.

While we wait for additioanl product to arrive or schedule to be filled for conversions, the inidivual will also help with imaging Windows 10 devices in the computer imaging center for IL and WI. The job is about consistency, quality, and quantity. The expectations is that they'll be able to image between 80-140 devices a day depending on what send up to the imaging center; self-starter, trustworthy, motivator required.

Primary Purpose:

The IT End Point Imaging Technician will setup and configure new or used IT end points in our centralized imaging center. This includes unboxing, asset tagging/labeling, configuring, and re-boxing desktops, laptops, tablets, cellular devices, and other IT end point devices.

Major Responsibilities:

Unbox, image, asset tag, label, configure, and re-box new or used laptop, desktops, cellular, tablets, and other IT end points in the computer imaging center located at Client HIT warehouse.

Completes device staging utilizing defined processes and tools.

Performs software installation, implements device security requirements and ensures compliance with Client hardware/software standards.

Documents asset tag information (serial number and asset tag number) to be imported into Active Directory, CMDB database, and other systems used for inventory tracking and configuration.

Connects hardware to the network and KVM devices to be imaged, configured, and setup as directed. Establishes initial network connectivity for new device deployment following defined procedures. Troubleshoots when necessary in order to successfully image equipment.

Prepares and packages IT equipment and collaborates with and delegates to warehouse personal for receipt, movement, and delivery of equipment stock and pallets

Configures multiple machines simultaneously in mass production environment with attention to detail and accuracy while following documented procedures.

Communicates timely status of device imaging assignments and informs leadership of any deviation from standards.

Completes assigned tasks within defined project plan timeframes. Identifies any potential risks or concerns that may impact the project. Informs project management and leadership of the issues and potential solutions.

Participates in developing risk reduction recommendations and solutions for issues

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required: None Required. Education Required: High School Graduate. Experience Required: Typically requires 1 year of experience in Windows, IOS, Android operating systems, computer hardware configurations and software troubleshooting. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software applications

Ability to detect and resolve basic IT technical problems

Ability to follow directions with a strong attention to detail

Team player with the ability to build long term relationships

Written and verbal communication skills and the demonstrated ability to communicate

Basic understating of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Self-starter with the ability to function with minimal to no daily supervision.

Basic understanding of Active Directory and SCCM; desired, not required.

Previous work experience in a technical support or PC deployment position; desired, not required

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs; this includes computer equipment and shipping pallets Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job; manual pallet jack. Exposed to semi-temperature controlled warehouse conditions
