M&S Consulting is hiring! We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Architect and Administrator who will be responsible for planning, designing, developing and maintaining the data architecture, data models and standards for modern Data Integration and Data Warehouse projects in Snowflake. Ensure new features and subject areas are modeled to integrate with existing structures. Develop and maintain documentation of the data architecture, data flow and data models. Provide direction on adoption of cloud technologies (Snowflake) and industry best practices in the field of data warehouse architecture and modeling. You will also be responsible for preparing estimates and defining technical solutions to proposals (RFPs). This role requires a broad range of skills and the ability to step into different roles depending on the size and scope of the project.

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Lead and Architect migration of data analytics environment from legacy solutions to Snowflake, designing for  performance and reliability.
• Assess ETL jobs, workflows, BI tools and reports
• Based on the findings from the assessment, define a high level roadmap for migration to Snowflake on Azure or AWS, along with a future state reference architecture.
• Responsible for end-to-end data analytics design and architecture for Snowflake in Azure or AWS.
• Improve existing data pipelines in the cloud for data transformation and aggregation.
• Address a majority of technical inquiries concerning customization, integration, enterprise
• Setup, configure and deploy Snowflake
• Guide the team to handle configurations for multiple departments/groups within single environment stack.
• Lead data analytics team for implementing the standard methodologies.
• Enable partners to make key decisions with accurate data analysis, reports and presentations of key findings.
• Proficiency in complex SQL, Unix Shell/Python Scripting, performance tuning and database optimization techniques.
• Proven Experience in crafting Database / Data warehouse solutions in cloud environments
• Make necessary on-going updates to modeling principles, processes, solutions, and best practices to ensure that the Snowflake is aligned with business needs of the environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Hands-on design, setup, development, and administration of Snowflake
• In depth understanding of Snowflake Architecture including Snow SQL, Performance Tuning, Compute and Storage
• Expertise in deploying Snowflake features such as data sharing
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities, SnowSQL, SnowPipe, Big Data model techniques using Python
• Experience in Data Migration from RDBMS to Snowflake cloud data warehouse
• Experience in migration processes to Snowflake from on-premises database Environment
• Good to have – AWS, Azure, DBT, Fivetran experience
• Must have total 2+ years of experience working as a Snowflake Data Architect and 4years in Data Warehouse, ETL, BI projects.
• Should be able to troubleshoot problems across infrastructure, platform and application domains
• Must have experience of Agile development methodologies
• Strong written communication skills. Is effective and persuasive in both written and oral communication
• Certified Snowflake cloud data warehouse Architect (Desirable)
• Databricks, Amazon Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics experience a plus
