JOB DESCRIPTION: General Manager
General Manager Role:
Coordinating daily management operations
Delivering superior service and maximizing customer satisfaction
Responding efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
We are looking for a General Manager to lead all aspects of our business. You will deliver high-quality service and products, while you motivate our staff to provide excellent customer service.
The manager responsibilities include maintaining the playgrounds revenue, profitability and quality goals. You will ensure efficient operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need management skills and experience in restaurants or general customer service management. We want you to know how to oversee the facility, check-in with customers and balance all areas of revenue.
We’ll expect you to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will ensure our facility runs smoothly and customers have pleasant experiences.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities, scheduling
Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
Establishes strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information; identifying and evaluating trends and options; choosing a course of action; defining objectives; evaluating outcomes.
Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Maintains quality customer service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge in kitchen and food service area and meets all required safety, cleaning and quality standards, including any required food service certifications by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices;
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House operations
Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
Organize and supervise shifts
Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and local marketing restaurant events
Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future operations
Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role
Minimum 2 years General Manager Experience
Proven customer service experience as a manager
Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
Acute financial management skills
BS degree in Business Administration; Hospitality Management or Marketing a plus
