Nonprofit Sr. Staff Accountant and Financial Analyst

We are looking for an experienced full-time Sr. Staff Accountant and Financial Analyst with Nonprofit experience. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other monthly financial reports
  • Assist with reporting for business operations and budgets
  • Complete bank reconciliations for multiple accounts
  • Monthly closing to include journal entries for all activities
  • Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
  • General ledger
  • Accounts payable
  • Invoicing, Accounts Receivable
  • Payroll processing
  • Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
  • Report analysis and findings to management team
  • Other projects, as assigned


  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, preferred
  • Five (5) years of experience desired
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Computer skills - MS Office (strong Excel skills)
  • Clear communication skills, written and verbal
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
  • Detail and deadline-oriented
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Blackbaud Financial Edge experience is a plus --- Nonprofit Cloud Fund Accounting Software
  • Blackbaud Raiser's Edge experience is a plus --- Fundraising and Donor Management Software
