Reporting to the Officer for Programs Information Systems, the Data Management and Reporting Specialist for Children and Family Services (Program Specialist for Information Systems) will support LIRS in delivering high quality programs and services for unaccompanied children and families. The position will support the ongoing implementation and development of internal and external technology including case management database, learning management system and technical assistance intranet.
DUTIES
- Support the enhancement of workflow efficiency and support for CFS users of technology for program implementation.
- Provide support for the development of training materials, standard operating procedures, and manuals for non-technical users to facilitate accurate use of database for staff and partners.
- Coordinate with program staff to identify improvements of the learning management system (LMS), the extranet, and Apricot case management database.
- Assist with various programmatic communications related to improvements to various systems including operations manuals and best practices.
- Support the ongoing development of training and guidance materials for staff related to the internal programmatic tools.
- Identifies training needs and program challenges related to technology, supports colleagues to leverage technology to enhance the delivery of program services in accordance with recognized child welfare standards, LIRS best practices, and LIRS/ORR policies and procedures.
- Providing administrative support for Information Systems activities including coordinating trainings, surveys and other network wide communications.
- Create reports for federal and nonfederal audiences using Apricot, LMS or other systems as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of work experience in data analysis or human services program support or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working in a non-profit organization preferred.
- Possess analytical reasoning, ability to interpret and evaluate complex information, while identifying patterns and essential issues.
- Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated Apricot or similar database management experience.
- Apricot administration certification strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the UC Portal strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced dynamic working environment.
- Commitment to LIRS's core mission and values and an ability to model those values in relationship with colleagues and partners; commitment to empowering refugees and migrants. Special Position Requirements
- Ability and willingness to travel to sites and attend relevant conferences up to 20%.
- Valid driver's license required
- Must be able to pass an FBI background check as well as a CA/N check for every state in which they have resided in the last five years.
- Must be over 21 years of age
