Team Member - Nights (Receiving Specialist)
1. Verify accuracy of packets.
2. Research and correct product shortages and overages and perform location checks.
3. Research and solve Free-Astray on docks.
4. Help Team Members with Logistics issues and product damages.
5. Complete and submit proper documentation for receiving issues
The Planning Team Member prioritizes work for Operations to get the product to the stores. By planning what product is received into the facility, the facility can ensure inventory is stocked and is readily available for the stores. The Planning Team Member allocates inventory to shipments based on priority, so that all stores are appropriately stocked for customers. The team member also answers all store questions regarding shipment dates of product.
Take calls from stores requesting information on shipments (e.g., special order sales (S.O.S) or store order express (S.O.E.))
Prepare labels for employees picking product to be shipped; print and distribute labels
Create receiving packets for the receiving department. Includes, purchase orders, labels and any necessary notes regarding the inbound trailer or product
Allocate inventory to priority shipments
Plan receiving schedule for following day (determines which trailers and at which receiving door the trailers are to be unloaded)
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor W.E.X/S.O.E (warehouse / store order express) and S.O.S orders to ensure they are shipped by targeted date
Prepare shift turn over documentation
Process non-stock demand received at RDC; contact Corporate
Perform basic maintenance on printers (load labels, toners, issues that occur)
Monitor waves (product to be picked) and work with Building Coach to close open waves
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Demonstrated adherence to safety requirements
Basic math and reading comprehension
Basic computer skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex problems; creative problem-solving
Successfully manages multiple tasks simultaneously while still being detail-oriented
Places high value on customer (store) service and responds quickly to store needs
Copes positively in high-stress work environment
Ability to work independently as well as with a team
Demonstrates assertiveness when communicating unpopular requests (e.g., request Operations to unload trailer by end of shift)
Strong communication and people skills
Approaches change optimistically; adjusts proficiently to changing work environments
Effectively prioritizes work and possesses time management skills
Highly motivated to Operation's success; goal-oriented
Post secondary education preferred
Familiarity with distribution center operations
Experience with software applications such as Excel, Access or Lowe's DMS system
