The Processing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the trimming and bucking shifts in the Farm Services department. This role requires an extremely detail oriented individual with great communication skills. The Processing Supervisor must track production and inventory, train key personnel, and ensure an efficient, cohesive department. This role is full-time and may at times include demanding hours. This position requires prior supervisor or manager level experience in cannabis or agriculture.

The Processing Supervisor will coordinate with the Process Manager, Harvest Manager and other Shift Supervisors to ensure product quality, efficiency, and proper equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise team of buckers and trimmers and ensure continuous communication with team and upper management
  • Set goals and expectations for shift and hold employees accountable
  • Continuous training and develop for department personnel
  • Ensure plants are processed in a quick and efficient manner, while ensuring high quality product standards are adhered to
  • Maintain the machine trimmers and buckers in accordance with manufacturer specifications
  • Keep record of all input and output weights per shift and communicate batch IDs to Metrc Lead
  • Maintain logs and reports on a continual basis
  • Track the amount of unusable waste for each plant/batch and usable by-products
  • Ensure staff breaks are taken in a timely manner and in accordance with FLSA regulations
  • Ensure all production areas and equipment are clean and sanitized at all times, according to standard operating procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of daily production and update management
  • Ensure quality meets company standards and report any issues with product and trim crew to upper management
  • Work as a member of a fast-paced team environment to help the team meet group goals
  • Abide by all company operating policies and ensure all safety policies are followed
  • Secure and separate finished goods, bud rot, and waste
  • Learn and perform proper techniques for bucking and trimming cannabis
  • Follow appropriate control measures to prevent mixing of batches and/or weights of batches
  • Perform in-process and post-process quality assurance testing and conduct visual inspections to ensure the product meets or exceeds set quality standards
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to the risk of electric shock
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 2+ years of commercial cannabis experience or comparable industry (i.e. agriculture)
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Able to work well in a group and independently, and demonstrate self-motivation and initiative
  • Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines
  • Able to adapt quickly to changes in policy, procedure, and technique
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a warehouse setting and stand for long periods of time
  • Able to work with a diverse team within various disciplines throughout the company
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and computer database software
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Travel may be required
  • 21 years of age
