Job Description

ABOUT
Louisiana Pepper Exchange is a vertically integrated supplier of Pepper Mash and Pepper Puree servicing the Food Service, Industrial, and Retail segments. In addition to the suite of products, LPE also offers transportation/ logistics and co-packing services.


SUMMARY
The Director of Sales is responsible for new business development and account management for Louisiana Pepper Exchange within the Retail/ CPG channel. The Director will work closely with the Chief Sales Officer and Chief Marketing Officer to grow into new retailers and increase velocity in existing locations.


RESPONSIBILITIES • Educating retailers on LPE’s products and value proposition
• Develop, negotiate and close contracts directly with retailers
• Create and execute retail support and sales initiatives • Manage existing retail relationships • Secure new distribution with geographic expansion • Manage existing distributor network • Onboard and manage new brokers with geographic expansion • Work with LPE’s existing broker network • Develop and manage a program for in store sampling • Work with LPE’s CMO on Industry and consumer-focused events • Tracking and reporting progress through LPE’s CRM
• Accurately forecast and manage sales projections for operational planning • This Position Should be Seen as National Sales Role, traveling as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPECTATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or requisite industry experience
• Experience and contacts within the Grocery, Club, and Big Box retail channels is highly preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, teamworking, and customer service skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Flexible
