If you are looking to join a growing company with an employee-centered culture focused on exceeding client expectations, this is the opportunity for you! Our client,  a Total Acquisition Management solutions firm is seeking an HR Director to join their team.

Successful Candidate will demonstrate

  • The ability to create a vision and goals for a HR Operations team and inspire and motivate the team to throughout transition, growth and change.
  • The ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within a company.
  • A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
  • Strong internal and external customer service focus
  • Experience within a dynamic and rapid changing work environment. The ability to manage and facilitate change.
  • Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement; Demonstrated experience driving processes improvements.
  • Success in creating and driving effective and positive employee relations, retention and reward programs.
  • The ability to be comfortable with high volume workload and not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves".
  • Strong project management skills; ability to lead projects at a department level to influence and obtain buy-in, and then drive execution and achievement of the right results.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.

Job Qualifications

  • 8 years of Professional Human Resources experience. 3+ years management experience.
  • Bachelors degree
  • Prior experience in supporting small-to mid-sized for-profit organizations
  • Proven experience in strategic application of concepts and practices within various disciplines (employee relations, compensation administration, benefits, performance management, employee engagement, etc.)
  • Proven success in managing employee expectations within an HRBP role
  • Possess sound knowledge of Federal, State and Local employment legislation, as well as, practical approach to applying this information daily.
  • Demonstrated expertise in 401(k) administration
  • Demonstrated expertise in Compensation Management
  • Ability to obtain a US Government Secret Security Clearance
  • PHR/SPHR a plus
  • Domestic travel 5%

Your roles will include the following responsibilities but is not limited to:

HR Management

  • Manage, coach and develop the HR service delivery team in the day to day operations, performing the functions of on-boarding, off-boarding, benefits administration, payroll and ongoing workforce changes.
  • Proactively partner and collaborate across the HR & Recruiting organizations, shares information and provides thought leadership and a solution-oriented direction to optimize the business value of the HR function.
  • Lead and/or contribute to HR/Recruiting Team projects and initiatives on a regular basis.

HR Programs and Policies

  • Act as a consultative business partner to Operations in order to ensure effective alignment of HR partnership with strategic organizational objectives.
  • Interpret, recommend and effectively communicate consistent HR practices, policies, procedures and initiatives and makes best practice change recommendations for business alignment purposes.
  • Conduct job leveling reviews, market and internal salary analysis.
  • Partner with managers on employee relations issues, including coaching and counseling, workplace investigations and other legal matters.
  • Conduct exit and stay interviews and provides monthly reporting to identify trends and areas of concern.
  • Answer general HR questions and resolve issues in a timely manner, liaising with benefits broker for employee insurance needs requiring escalation.

Employee Engagement & Retention

  • Manage the On-boarding Team and ensure processes for on-boarding & orientation are effective and create a sense of belonging for new and existing staff throughout the organization.
  • Provide high-level consultation to managers in a variety of HR-related areas, including performance management, retention, and compensation administration.
  • Manage the company-wide annual performance review process. Reviews proposed salary adjustments and annual performance reviews for staff level personnel.
  • Benchmark against human resource/talent best practices and implements initiatives that are innovative and aimed at continuous improvement to support a dynamic, evolving organization.

HR Administration

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with outside counsel as needed/required. Ensures compliance with Federal, State and Local requirements.
  • Manage the worker's compensation, disability, FMLA and leave of absence programs in accordance with country, federal, state and city statues.
  • Responsible for the annual AAP. Participate in compliance audits including FLSA, compensation and systems data integrity.


Organizational Effectiveness

  • Provide day-to-day talent and performance management guidance to all levels of staff (coaching, counseling, human capital development, disciplinary actions) in order to maximize the organization's performance, while assessing and minimizing risk Acts as a performance improvement driver and generates positive changes in people management.
  • Introduce effective change management practices to a fast-paced, quickly evolving environment Equips leaders with practical coaching and guidance to inspire, manage, develop, and drive teams.
