Organization is established, growing and stable and rapidly growing as a provider of preclinical and clinical trial services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Organization is CLIA licensed and CAP accredited and is recognized nationally and internationally for laboratory services including but not limited to histology, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, ISH, FISH, CTC isolation and characterization, chemosensitivity testing, tissue procurement, ELISA, mutation testing, cell expansion, and colony forming assays.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supervise laboratory employees including scheduling, training and direction of staff to ensure that they finish tasks properly and in a timely manner
• Participate in the recruiting and selection process
• Provide mentorship to employees to help them develop and grow
• Troubleshoot technical problems with laboratory assays
• Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and work with vendors for maintenance and repair
• Answer IHC, FISH and histology questions during client and regulatory inspections
• Work with the quality assurance department and respond to quality assurance audits to ensure SOPs are followed and project requirements, GLP regulations and regulatory standards are met
• Relate skillfully at an interpersonal level and influence staff and colleagues when necessary
• Maintain a work culture which is focused on customer service, the highest quality results and meeting deadlines
• Write Standard Operating Procedures

Qualifications

• Six (6) years' experience or more with knowledge of CAP, CLIP and state regulatory requirements
• Two (2) years' experience in leadership as a Manager, Supervisor or Director including but not limited to leading and managing a team
• Bachelor degree or higher in a life or physical science field
• HT or HTL license
