Director of Operations and Business Development - Logistics/Supply Chain

• Oversee the daily operation ensuring customer satisfaction is successfully achieved

• Review manpower levels and assignments based on projected volume to ensure that staffing levels sets are appropriate

• Ensures internal procedures are established and followed for the proper management

• Identify opportunities for cost improvement and service improvement

• Ensure billing and invoice accuracy and timeliness and ensure all business accounts stay profitable

• Collaborate with all teams to deliver service to the client, meeting all quality standards

• Accountable for leading, administering and planning all activities related to operations

• Responsible for the coordination of all issues between customers and operation team

• Responsible for all product related commercial interface with the customer, including face to face presentations, quotations, volume pricing, tooling along with quality issues

• Monitor Client satisfaction is in line with client KPI’s. Identify and take corrective actions

• Manage, report and analyze internal KPIs and prepare strategic plans and forecasts on a routine basis

• Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion

• Develop and lead cross-functional, efficient work organization through team-building with effective employee relations, hiring, training to drive a strategic vision, and identify opportunities for growth

• Identify market opportunities and develop annual strategic sales plans to penetrate potential new customers in the region

• Develop new business in the Logistics market through calling on new potential customers to introduce Logos

• Develop and execute account plans to expand sales with existing clients and customers through cross-selling and up-selling

• Strengthen relationships and promote regular customer contact with existing clients to ensure client satisfaction and to promote additional business

• Performs other duties and special assignments upon request

 

Job Requirements

· Proficient with Microsoft packages, including Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook

· Bachelor’s degree or above

· 10+ years of related Supply Chain or logistics experience is required

· A minimum of 5 years of management experience within the logistics industry is required

· Proven ability to develop, lead and culturally drive an environment of high productivity and cost effectiveness

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a strong sense of self-motivation
