Civil Engineer Job Summary

We have an immediate opening for a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer with a Nevada State Contractors Board A license. You will be the head of our engineering team and oversee the design and construction of various road and underground projects. From the planning stages through the construction process, you will supervise and guide staff to ensure the structure is built properly and meets all safety regulations. Our ideal candidate has at least ten years of professional engineering experience and a substantial portfolio of successful design projects. Base pay of $200,000 to $250,000 plus 10% profit sharing. Large contracts are in place already but additional support is needed to perform.

Civil Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze survey reports, maps, plans, and other relevant information for project planning
• Submitting permit applications for projects with multiple regulations to appropriate local, state, and federal agencies
• Budget construction costs and risk analysis for projects
• Perform tests on materials to ensure the quality of projects
• Design and implement plans and simulations using 2-D or 3-D computer software to plan transportations systems, hydraulics, structural sound framework, and other facilities to the highest standards
• Oversee survey operations for construction

Civil Engineer Requirements and Qualifications:

• Nevada State Contractors Board A License
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field
• Current Professional Engineer(PE) license
• 10+ years of professional engineering experience
• Substantial portfolio of successful design projects
• Proficient with computer-aided engineering (CAM) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAE)
• Experience with mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge (Matlab, LabView)
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite and ProEngineer/Creo
• Flexible schedule
