The Role

We are seeking a strategic CFO to lead the finance and accounting department and help guide the company through its fun and amazing growth opportunities.  The CFO will be responsible for financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, accounting & financial reporting systems, integrations, funding opportunities, and banking relationships. S/he will collaborate with the CEO, executive team, operating partners, and board to make decisions regarding the company's financial strategy, operations, and future direction. The ideal candidate has experience in high-growth SaaS or technology companies.  They will be instrumental and essential in the continued growth and direction of the company and take the lead in numerous key growth initiatives and projects.

Key Responsibilities

The Chief Financial Officer will report to the Chief Executive Officer and work closely with the Executive team.  Their primary responsibilities include: 

  • The Chief Financial Officer will be able to be both a hands-on accounting/finance officer as well as a strategic partner with the C-Suite/Executive Management team.  The ideal candidate will work on-site in Farmington, Utah. 
  • Reporting
    • Prepare Financial Reports (Internal & External)
    • Budget & Forecasts (department engagement), including preparation of annual budget presented to the board of directors (BoD)
    • Revenue KPIs (Sales, Marketing, Brand)
    • KPI Tracking & Trend Reporting
    • Quarterly BoD Financials/Initiatives as a component of a larger BoD presentation
  • Initiatives
    • GAAP Compliance & Annual, External Audit Preparations (QoE)
    • Prepare financial operations, working toward a potential public-offering exit
    • State Nexus: Sales | Gross Receipts | Income
    • Oversee accounting firm’s filing of tax returns
  • Strategy & Leadership
    • Capital market management - debt, acquisition financing, etc.
    • M&A leadership - evaluation and execution of acquisition targets
    • Accounting and Finance department head
    • Collaborate with Revenue Department on KPIs, Budgets, Strategy
    • Financial Controls Management & Oversight
    • Multi-site / Country operations

    • A/P & A/R
    • Payroll, 401(k)
    • Client Activation, Renewal, Cancellation Processes


What We Look For

  • A track record of 10+ years of finance and accounting leadership, scaling organizations, overseeing financials, budgeting, reporting, acquisitions, and audit
  • Current CFO or VP of Finance or similar at technology/software company
  • Strong thought leadership and best practices in Finance, Accounting, & Reporting
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementation; especially around revenue
  • Deep experience leading and scaling finance department to support overall company growth
  • A track record of investing in efficiency, automation, and talented team members
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to build and maintain robust, scalable systems and processes
  • Ability to use metrics and analytics
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Well-organized with proven leadership qualities


Bonus Points

  • Experience working as a CFO or finance executive within a start-up environment that experienced rapid growth as well as a larger company with best-of-class processes
  • Experience working in a multi-office, global, and/or remote setting
  • Fluency in Spanish (verbal & written)
  • MBA, MAcc, CPA
