Business Analyst

We are looking for a smart, experienced Business Analyst, with good self-discipline, who wants to work as part of a remote team with other intelligent, dedicated people supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs.

This is a Virginia-based full-time position. Candidate should be a US Citizen and a resident of Virginia (anywhere within the state).

Skills required include the effective use of data provided by cost estimators to create overall cost versus benefit assessment while considering functional benefits, technical performance, risks, and schedule concerns. Must be comfortable working in a remote-team environment via Teams/Zoom and other distributed-staffing coordination tools.

Responsibilities:

• Use data to understand business patterns and trends
• Analyze internal and external data through quantitative research
• Communicate findings to company through standard and ad hoc reports
• Promote best practices in data analysis and reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a STEM field
• Previous experience in business intelligence, analysis, or other related field
• Knowledge of statistical tools and business reporting
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
