EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Masters or Doctoral degree in human relations or clinical field such as social work, psychology, or marriage and family counseling. A license or certification in a specialized field is required and if an independent practice license/certification is not present, this individual must be clinically supervised by a staff having appropriate credential and also must actively work towards their own licensure/certification. At least two years working in a human service organization with inpatient or outpatient psychiatric or chemical dependency populations is strongly preferred, although not required.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Ability to communicate on an effective level with both clients and staff from a variety of disciplines.
