LinQuest is seeking a Director, Business Development to join our team in the DC / NCR area. An active Top Secret clearance is required.

LinQuest is growing in the National Capital Region and is seeking an experienced Business Development professional to join our team. As an Industry Leader in Digital Engineering and Advanced Technology Solutions, LinQuest delivers research, analysis, prototyping, design, development, integration, test, fielding, and operations on critical National Security Space missions including satellite communications; space superiority; spectrum superiority; intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance; and assured position, navigation, and timing.  LinQuest is looking for energetic and entrepreneurial leadership to help accelerate our growth trajectory. Primary work location is Herndon, VA area, however, candidates in other locations who have the requisite skill set and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for full business development lifecycle with focus on winning new business with government agencies in the NCR.
  • Lead efforts to identify, qualify, pursue, and capture government contracts through customer relationships, effective bid strategies, productive teaming, differentiated solutions, and superior proposal development.
  • Lead capture efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts through superior understanding of customer requirements; develop capture strategy, competitive assessments, teaming solutions, and price-to-win.
  • Develop and provide company awareness/capabilities briefings, attend opportunity Industry Days and participate in customer one-on-one meetings to improve LinQuest’s positioning on competitive procurements.
  • Lead and participate in business development planning and review activities, to include pipeline reviews, developing and managing B&P budgets, planning resources and schedules for capture and proposal plans, opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, win theme and discriminator workshops, and proposal reviews; gather and provide information for bid/no-bid decision making.
  • Work closely with other LinQuest business developers, capture managers, and line managers in a cooperative and constructive fashion.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • BA/BS degree.
  • 10+ years’ experience with Business Development in the DoD market.
  • 10+ years’ experience working with agencies and customers in the NCR.
  • Demonstrated track record of bidding on and winning large competitive awards with the US Government.
  • Established relationships with US Government leadership and extensive organizational and mission knowledge of relevant NCR customer organizations.
  • Understanding of the new business pursuit lifecycle, with emphasis on market analysis, customer and opportunity identification and qualification, and opportunity shaping.
  • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management tools and databases (SalesForce preferred).
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Compensation for the DC/NCR area: Starting salary ranges from approximately $175,000 - $225,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
