Clinical Lab Scientist/ Med Tech Lab - Nights. 11p - 7a , with Call requirementsMidland Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Lab Scientist/ Med Tech (Please only submit CLS or Med Tech)Brief Job Description:Perform routine and special laboratory tests within the different laboratory departments; the areas included are hematology, immunology, bacteriology, chemistry, serology, and microscopy.Analyze quality-control data and take appropriate action when results are outside acceptable limits.Utilize knowledge of laboratory information systems in areas of phlebotomy, specimen handling and processing to review reports for clerical accuracy and clinical indications.Call critical test results to physicians and nurses immediately and report distribution as required.Be able to use applicable laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, meters, microscopes, incubators, pipettes, autoclaves, and sterilizers.Perform clerical functions such as maintaining files and assisting in inventoryRequirements:Bachelor's degree or higher.Minimum of two years as a Medical Technologist, preferred, in a large hospital setting.Cerner experience is requiredCompletion of Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science Training.Certification as a MT by the Board of ASCP, CLS by NCA, HEW or ISCLT is recommended.Must meet CLIA requirements for job description.**If Traveler is selected for assignment, State and County Criminal Background check must be a FULL background check and not limited to 7 years**
