Lighthouse Lab Services is excited to represent a growing laboratory that serves the the state of HI and much of the south Pacific at an extremely high level of service. We are searching for senior Medical Laboratory Scientist with experience in the blood bank to help take our client's operation to the next level.

Position Overview:

-Performs various testing in the Blood Bank department following prescribed quality assurance policies and procedures.

-Performs, evaluates, and documents quality control and maintenance checks for (Daily, Weekly and Monthly) in all departments to include temperature logs, discarding of old specimens and rotation of specimen racks for storage.

-Reviews testing results and evaluating the validity of results in comparison to anticipated results indicated per procedure manual.

-Performs equipment and instrumentation maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration as needed. Perform inventories and restocks reagents, calibrators, controls and supplies as needed. Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.

Candidate Profile:

-Must be ASCP certified and be eligible or have the HI state license for Medical Laboratory Scientist

-Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or a related science (or 24 credits in Chemistry/Biology constituting a biological science major) as required by CLIA

-Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs

-Ability to work independently and within a team environment

-Experience in the blood bank is highly preferred

Salary/Benefits/Shift:

-$40-50/hour (Depending on experience)

Full Benefits (401K, Health, Vision, Dental)

Shift is M-F, Day Shift
