Laboratory Manager

Lighthouse Lab Services is excited to represent a laboratory near Memphis, TN that is looking for a Laboratory Manager to join their growing team!

The Lab Manager will be responsible for the operational, technical, and scientific oversight of the laboratory in all departments. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Position Overview:

• Manage laboratory and processes to ensure day-to-day operations follow internal standard operating procedures and regulatory standards of CLIA and CAP.

• Support monthly financial reporting, budget preparation and ensuring the laboratory is on target to meet performance and operational goals

• Assists Director in budget process through resource identification and service needs, evaluating and providing analysis for new projects and strategic initiatives. Identifies necessary capital budget items for Laboratory.

• Manage laboratory personnel by preparing schedules, providing guidance and direction.

• Maintain flexibility to cover scheduling gaps as needed.

• Maintain strict CLIA Compliance

• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and others as needed to resolve issues, maintain ongoing functionality, and document service, project management and repair work.

• Supervise all testing performance, corrective actions, and process improvement

• Perform or delegate instrument validation, maintenance, and troubleshooting

• Develop SOPs 

• Maintain QA/QC records and programs

• Oversee laboratory and accessioning personnel performance, training, and competency

• Other duties, as assigned.

Candidate Profile:

• A.S. (or higher) in Biology, Medical Technology, or related field

• 4+ years of Clinical Laboratory Experience in a High-Complexity Clinical Lab

• Previous experience as a Generalist 

• MT/MLS (ASCP) or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Salary / Shift / Benefits:

• Day Shift (Monday-Friday)

• 65k-80k (Depending on experience)

• Health, Vision, Dental
