LightEdison is searching for a dedicated Project Manager in Memphis, TN to support a growing pipeline of LED conversion projects for city streets, municipal and commercial buildings, ballfields and even some solar installations. Construction Project Manager

Roles & Accountabilities
  • Contribute to defining and execute the project scope on schedule and within budget
  • Resolve issues throughout project execution and communicate efficiently with clients and the executive team
  • Document all routine work in an operations manual (the information included in the operations manual is proprietary)
  • Hold and contribute to weekly/scheduled meetings. Bring to light issues with solutions and timeframes of completion
  • Conduct, manage and create documentation for pre-contract site verifications
  • Reconcile any differences between project proposals and contract details
  • Generate Purchase Agreements
  • Manage/delegate rebate documentation, provide final rebate approvals
  • Scheduling, coordinating, and completing onsite Lighting Reviews and Investment Grade Audits (IGA) with clients, third party auditors and internal team members
  • Coordinate and assign processes for individual project spaces.
  • Generate detailed installation work orders
  • Approving material changes/substitutions requested by the vendor
  • Tracking shipments from Purchase Order acceptance to site delivery
  • Leading internal and external communication on equipment lead times and delivery schedules
  • Coordinating onsite delivery logistics with Field Superintendent, third party logistics companies and the client as needed
  • Manage RMA/RGA documentation to include coordination with the accounting department
  • Creating, managing and closing out internal and external issues and for Information during the Project installation in support of Field Superintendents and installation subcontractors
  • Coordinating Substantial Completion walks and certificates with Field Superintendents, installation subcontractors, Company partners and end-use customers, draft completion certificates
  • Coordinating "after" photos
  • Securing customer testimonials for case study
  • Coordinate recycling services including obtaining appropriate recycling certificates
  • Supporting Field Superintendent and installation subcontractors with removal of storage, disposal, equipment rentals
  • Perform all work in accordance with all government laws, regulations, ordinances, and court rulings in those jurisdictions in which the Company operates
  • Perform all work according to Company policies and standards inherent in all position agreements, system action plans, employee manuals, ongoing policy memoranda, facilities, and dress codes
  • Hold client and company information as strictly confidential outside the company
Education and Certification Requirements
  • A 4-year bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. construction management, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, etc.), OR
  • A 2-year degree in technical field and proven work experience demonstrating you can execute the role effectively

Competencies & Expectations

Required Competencies

  • Experience as a lead project or program manager for electrical or lighting upgrades in existing facilities
  • Attention to detail is your normal method of operating
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications capabilities and personal standards
  • Management of internal and external resources including subcontractors
  • Ability to efficiently produce gantt charts and other project schedules
  • Experience reading and understanding print sets
  • Ability to use some sort of document markup tool (Bluebeam preferred)
  • Prioritization and time-management skills
  • Experience in the construction industry and/or in-depth knowledge of traditional construction/renovation processes, language and norms
  • Work independently and proactively with minimal supervision
  • Effective in delegating tasks and collaborating on project objectives
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Strong spreadsheet skills
  • Strong computer skills and the ability and desire to learn now software applications
  • Ability and comfort level to utilize Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.) OR a strong work history using Microsoft Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) and the ability to switch to Google Workspace products without concern for limiting your capabilities

Desired Experience and Competencies (must have some of the following)

  • 3+ years in a project management / project leadership role
  • Experience managing electrical projects
  • Experience with LED lighting specifications
  • Street lighting or general electric utility experience
  • Experience working on building lighting systems upgrades, especially energy retrofits
  • Expertise utilizing AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Experience using Bluebeam
  • Production of construction drawings and shop drawings
  • Experience completing take-offs and drawing markups
  • Knowledge of InDesign and/or Adobe Photoshop
  • Lighting Certifications (e.g. CLC, CLCP, CLD, CLEP, CLMC, CLMR etc.)
  • LEED accreditation
  • Previous experience working on energy savings performance contracts (ESPCs)
  • Electrical experience beyond the luminaire
  • GIS software experience
  • Google Earth Pro experience
  • Electrical experience
