Assistant Teacher in Childcare Facility

Lifesteps Early Education Center in Beaver, PA is currently seeking a part-time substitute Childcare staff to work with Preschool children in an integrated setting, including children with special needs.   

The Teacher’s Aide assists the head teacher with lesson planning, parent interaction, outside play activities, crafts, and planning and implementing classroom curriculum. Experience with special needs children or clients is preferred, but not required. The job offers flexibility being a part-time substitute position. 

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Lifesteps takes precautions and supplies Personal Protective Equipment when necessary while following the Centers for Disease Control and the Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines for a safe and healthy environment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:  

• High School Diploma plus 2 years prior experience working with children (paid or unpaid)

OR

• High School Diploma with at least 15 credits in an Education or Human Service Field

OR

• Associate Degree or Completion of at least 60 credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, Early Education, Psychology, Sociology, Movement Therapy, History, or a related Human Services field   

 OR  

• Child Development Associate's (CDA) Certificate
