Job Description

Lifecycle and its affiliates are rapidly growing construction service-oriented companies looking for a self-driven talented Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing various job costing and general ledger entries.

The Staff Accountant is an energetic professional who is detailed oriented. Experienced in handling a wide range accounting related tasks and able to work independently with little or no supervision. Well organized, flexible with excellent excel and reconciliation skills.

Job Description

  • Prepares and posts general ledger entries.
  • Reconciles bank accounts monthly.
  • Codes all General & Administrative and various job-related vendor invoices for the AP Specialist.
  • Codes and records all credit card activity weekly.
  • Reconciles credit card accounts monthly.
  • Enters all ACH and AMEX payments for vendor invoices.
  • Verifies coding of all employee expense reports.
  • Reconciles WIP and post related entries monthly.
  • Reconciles depreciation, amortization, and prepaid schedules monthly and posts related journal entries.
  • Maintains all 1099 vendors and prepares annual 1099 filings.
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned.


  • Construction industry experience preferred.
  • Professional attitude, reliable and strong work ethic.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related.
  • 1-4 years accounting experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete assignments within deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy along with ability to multitask.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.
  • Knowledge of General Accounting, Financial reporting, and GAAP concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with Acumatica software a plus.
  • Experience in the Construction Industry.
  • Cost Accounting experience preferred.
  • Must have strong work ethics.
  • Must be well organized and a self-starter.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
