Liberation Programs is seeking a part-time Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor for our Staples HS Programlocated in Westport, CT. This counselor will support school aged youth to engage in the process of recovery, using a variety of evidence-based practices and techniques. The counselor serves as the lead coordinating member of an integrated healthcare team focused on assisting individuals to navigate the recovery process.
The treatment goals and personal aspirations of each individual are the centerpiece of a care plan to be delivered by all LPI direct care providers. Counselors are expected to use evidence based practices in a manner consistent with LPI's philosophy, values, policies and protocols.
SCHEDULE:8 hours weekly duringMonday-Friday 8:00am- 4:30pm (some Evenings & Weekend Days as relevant). On-site and remote based on school status.
- Provide culturally competent, engaging counseling services, focusing on helping individuals recover from the disease of addiction
- Connect individuals with wraparound support services in the community
- Engage family members into the recovery experience
- Document all activities using accepted industry standard practices
- LADC required.
- Must have a work history that demonstrates the understanding of a consumer driven delivery system, accomplishment, punctuality and the ability to work well with colleagues.
- Must have strong communications, interpersonal, and computer skills
