QC Manager and Superintendent for projects at the Seymour Johnson AFB!

We are seeking (2 positions for our Projects at the Seymour Johnson AFB! to join our team! You will oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.

1. Quality Control Manager-(Must have current QCM Certification)

1. Quality Control Manager

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of five years experience in general construction as a QC Manager, Superintendent, or acceptable combination of experience and additional education. Must have prior experience working on federal/military construction contracts, preferably one such as the SABER or JOC (IDIQ) type of contracts
  • Prefer to hire candidate from the Goldsboro/Raleigh area.
  • Candidate will start ASAP.
  • Project will last from 6 months to 1 year or longer, depending on task orders.
  • Candidate will work on a full salary basis which is competitive and depending on experience.
  • Candidate will work on our high visibility projects.
  • Must be capable of establishing and maintaining an effective quality control systems.
  • Must have ability to prepare testing plans and validate results.
  • Must have knowledge of all construction disciplines and possess a strong knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards.
  • Need to be capable of reviewing design drawings and specifications, preparing daily reports an detecting defects on a project including work performed by in-house crews and subcontractors.
  • CQM, OSHA and or EM385-1-1 certifications preferred.
  • Compensation dependent on experience

2. Superintendent/SSHO

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of subcontractors and construction crews.
  • Perform hands‐on work with crews when necessary.
  • Attend site visits with project management team.
  • Review Plans and Specifications with project management team.
  • Ensure understanding of the Scope of Work.
  • Perform quantity take‐offs to determine materials and equipment needed when doing self-performed work.
  • Complete Daily Reports and other correspondence related to the project.
  • Coordinate Quality Control and Safety activities with subcontractors and crews to ensure they are working in a safe manner.
  • Assist project team in obtaining vendor and subcontractor quotes.
  • Assist in coordinating construction schedule with subcontractors and personnel.
  • Comprehension of mechanical blueprint drawings for material lists and installation purposes.
  • Commercial and Government work experience necessary.
  • Own small hand tools for occasional hands‐on work.
  • Compensation dependent on experience

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of HVAC, ductwork, plumbing and pipefitting experience.
  • Valid driver's license and good MVR record.
  • OSHA 30 and/or EM 385‐1‐1 Certification.
  • Positive, can‐do attitude with focus on excellent customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‐task.
  • Strong computer skills especially Excel and Word.
  • Possess a firm understanding of general construction trades with emphasis on HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to anticipate issues with designs or processes, able to problem solve and offer solutions.
  • Ability to communicate with clients and project team.
