Level Green Landscape (LGL) is now hiring an Assistant Branch Manager for the Southern Maryland region. As the Assistant Branch Manager, you will assist the Branch Manager and be responsible for full-fledged branch management training, profitable growth, management, and performance of the P&L of your assigned branch in Southern Maryland. The Assistant Branch Manager enacts as the right-hand of the Branch Manager and provides hands-on leadership and builds business capabilities while cultivating relationships with key strategic customers in the market.

Requirements

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and implementing strategic regional plans to meet time sensitive corporate goals and objectives
  • Complete leadership accountability for the profit/loss financial status of a diverse business unit (e.g., landscape, enhancements, operations)
  • Ensure resources (tools, talent, and equipment) are effectively allocated and deployed across the market through an effective equipment management process
  • Ensures that all staff adhere to operational, ethical, safety, and administrative policies and procedures
  • Selects, develops, motivates, enhances, and holds staff accountable to achieve performance objectives as well as adding to the depth of the talent pipeline/bench
  • Participate in company safety protocols to ensure teams are compliant with company safety practices
  • Develop a strong customer focus with both internal and external customers and key business partners (i.e., suppliers and community relations) through strong relationship-building and delivering the company brand and values
  • Effectively manage and deliver requirements of customer contracts
  • Reviews P&L statements regularly
  • Meets or exceeds established business targets, sales goals, and budget requirements


You may be a good fit if you:
  • Have previous commercial landscaping experience.
  • Can manage a small branch team to gain hands on exposure and experience
  • Working closely with the Branch Manager to improve safety, quality and efficiency within the Branch.
  • Participating in all 'in-house' training opportunities
  • Improving safety and production training to foster a safe and efficient culture in the Branch as well as hiring and developing our people for long term employment with Level Green.
  • Duties as assigned, participating in external training opportunities such as sales and leadership seminars
  • Leading training at branch level
  • Involved in all Branch Manager meetings including monthly financial and corporate reporting
  • Gaining a working knowledge of current customer relationships to aid in additional sales as well as exceed client expectations.
  • Assist in new sales prospecting with an active Hunter approach.
  • Developing an understanding of Level Green's culture, mission and values and learning to apply these values to decisions and processes
  • Success in this position is indicated by high retention rates for both employees and customers, profitability that meets or exceeds annual budgets, and matching or exceeding budgeted revenue.
  • Demonstrated skill and ability managing and developing numerous employees at various levels.
  • Excellent negotiation and written/oral communication skills in English.
  • At least 5 years' experience at a leadership level, with profit and loss responsibility in a commercial service industry.(Landscape industry a plus)
  • Landscape management software "Aspire": 1 year (Preferred)
  • Must be willing to relocate to Maryland if not already located in Maryland
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products and other business enterprise software
  • Ability to run efficient and effective meetings over the phone or in-person.
  • A degree in landscape contracting, horticulture or business management is preferred
  • The ideal candidate is people oriented with a proven record of leadership in a position with profit and loss responsibility
  • Authorized to work in the United States and have a valid Driver's License

Salary: $60,000-$70,000 annually (based upon experience)
