Senior Business Analyst

We are looking for a business analyst to support one of our Sacramento area clients on a 1099 basis; position pays an hourly rate of $50 and has full time hours. This is a hybrid position; with a combination of work from home and work from the office (Natomas Park, 95835). Unfortunately we are unable to offer H1B visa sponsorship at this time.

Key requirements for the position are:

• At least five years’ experience working as a project manager or business analyst within a software development environment; any industry

Not a requirement but a big plus:

• Already reside within a reasonable commute distance to Natomas Park, 95835. Note that If you are relocating to Sacramento, we cannot cover relocation expenses
• Experience on government projects
• Current PMP certification

Responsibilities:

• Under the leadership of our project lead, support the development of vendor work orders and updates to earned value reports. Attend project meetings, providing input during the meetings and summaries post-meeting.
• Support our Excel based project budgeting, estimating, and management tool, which may include updating the VBA macro code.
• Assist with business analysis, including the development of business requirements.

Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong Excel, including some Excel macros/VBA or other programming experience.

Required experience: 5 + years as a project manager OR Business analyst within a software development environment; our firm focuses on technical services for government clients

Required technical skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, including macros, formulas, MS Project or equivalent, and MS PPT.

Desirable technical skills: VBA programming / any object-oriented language

Education: BA/BS degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience. Degrees from outside the United States are valid

Required certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP)
