Job Description

The Chief Operating Officer for our client is ready to use her or his career worth of knowledge and proven success to help bring the vision of the founder to life on a larger stage. Our COO will be the Implementer who works collaboratively with the CEO Visionary to create an evolving organizational structure, and will be a Jill or Jack of all trades with an eye to creating a leadership team that will support our core strategies of developing people, process and strong, executable financial goals.

The ideal candidate will be someone who can expand on the playbook for the company, rather than simply play by the established rules. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has done it all operationally, can show success in developing leaders, and is ready to be a part of something exciting and values driven in the fresh casual segment. Our inspiring and encouraging COO will be responsible for the daily operations and overall performance of the company, overseeing the leadership and management of assigned departments and restaurants, franchisees, coaching them to established goals and objectives to maximize profitability, while ensuring superior quality, employee engagement and customer service. This champion of leaders understands and links strategic planning and long-term growth objectives with routine operational execution of a dependably excellent service and product.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Chief Operating Officer’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Oversees all operations; formulating and implementing business strategies and operational processes, including the day to day functioning of the companies
  • Improves operating efficiencies to increase profitability and drives an exceptional customer experience
  • Generates short and long term operational goals and plans; directs and drives the short and longer-term planning based on objectives, initiatives, and resources and drives prioritization to meet strategic and financial goals
  • Develops internal processes to continuously enhance service delivery and improve cost effective operations
  • Identifying franchise opportunities in new markets



Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role; overall responsibility for day to day operations management, revenue growth, and profitability
  • 10+ years management experience in the restaurant industry
  • Experience managing senior managers from multiple departments, restaurants, or divisions
  • Excellent organization, management, administrative, and leadership skills exhibiting creativity, collaboration, and teamwork
  • Demonstrated experience with financial accountability and P&L responsibility
  • Proven ability to drive, lead, and communicate change effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to plan and execute company-wide strategic initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and public speaking skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills, good judgment, and proactive problem-solving skills
  • Able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Strong degree of initiative, professionalism
  • Desire to work with a diverse and expanding work force
  • Innovative and embracing new ideas and technology


Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, hospitality management, marketing, finance, or a related field
  • 15+ years’ experience in the restaurant industry
  • 10+ years senior management experience
  • Unique concept in the growing fast casual space
