Job Description

Compensation: $60K- $90K

*Note: Compensation consists of base compensation, plus commission. Base compensation ranges from $60-$70K with a commission target of $20K-$30K based on achieving targets.

Our sponsorship campaigns are designed to drive brand awareness and engagement while also improving access to sports nationwide.

We are looking for an Account Manager to join our growing team to help renew, upsell, and grow our current contracts with our regional and national brand clients.

What you'll do:

As a member of our sales team at LeagueSide, you'll help us grow the sponsorship side of our business. This is an important role for our growing team and will provide you with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

You'll be responsible for identifying and generating sales opportunities through both inbound and outbound activities, ultimately owning a net new revenue number. We're looking for hard-working, competitive, and self-motivated individuals who have succeeded in similar roles. This is the perfect opportunity for a motivated individual looking to get in on the ground floor of an exciting marketing-tech startup.

  • You'll identify, source, and secure business opportunities; managing prospects through the entire sales cycle by building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business
  • Respond, engage and qualify inbound leads and inquiries
  • Partner with marketing to build and execute sales strategy, improving our target prospect lists and our ICP (ideal client profile)
  • Build and iterate outbound sequences which lead to high conversion rates
  • Educate prospects about our platform and capabilities, increasing awareness around LeagueSide's mission and value
  • Help refine the sales process and strategy to improve your effectiveness
  • Communicate cross-functionally with our campaign strategy, league operations, and product teams.
  • You will act as a thought leader in our space, sharing your expertise through webinars, conferences, and blogs

What you'll need

To succeed in this role, you'll need to be excited by the idea of learning about brand marketing and sponsorships, youth sports, two-sided markets, and how to sell beyond ROI analysis. You'll also need:

  • A minimum of 3 year of selling experience with demonstrable success in meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • A strong desire and commitment to do what it takes to be successful in sales; your focus is laser sharp and you're constantly fine tuning your approach
  • Strong consultative selling and closing skills
  • Experience with implementing new sales processes or procedures
  • You're flexible, coachable, you always operate with a growth mindset and understand the importance of iterating and change
  • Your communication and interpersonal skills are enviable and you develop rapport quickly and effortlessly
  • You're the ultimate team player, you bring others up alongside you

  • Brand marketing or sponsorship sales experience
