Customer Service Representative

A leading building materials company seeks an experienced Customer Service professional for our branch in Anaheim, CA. The Customer Service Representative assists with client needs while lending administrative support to the Branch Team. Our Customer Service professionals support the needs of Builders, Designers, General Contractors as well as all other customers that visit or call.

- Responsibilities -

  1. Support day-to-day functioning of branch.
  2. Welcome customers and discern unique client needs.
  3. Answer all calls to Branch and follow through accordingly.
  4. Direct customers to the appropriate team member.
  5. Reach out to customers via phone and validate order and account information.
  6. Resolve customer complaints using any and all communication tools.
  7. Advise on basic branch info such as hours, location, etc.
  8. Work with Manager to ensure proper customer service is being delivered.
  9. Provide service for order placement, refunds, or exchanges.

- Qualifications (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience) -

  1. High school diploma, general education degree or equivalent
  2. Ability to flex into the Warehouse as needed
  3. Knowledge of relevant computer applications such as Outlook and Excel
  4. Minimum 2 years of experience providing operations, sales and customer service support in a sales, retail or distribution environment.
  5. Ability to maintain a professional work environment at all times.
  6. Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  7. Building Materials knowledge a plus

- Physical requirements -

  1. Stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
  2. Walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  3. Sit, climb or balance.
  4. Lift and/or move up to 110 pounds.
  5. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  6. Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  7. Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  8. May be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
  9. The noise level is usually loud.
  10. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
