We are seeking ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­a Outside Mechanic Journeyman to become part of our team!

Your responsibilities will include:

Capable of accomplishing the installation, maintenance, and repair of ship's propulsion and auxiliary systems including, but not limited to Steam, Gas Turbine, and Diesel propulsion systems, rudders and steering gear, elevators, and deck equipment without Supervision. Capable of accomplishing the installation repair, and maintenance of ship's fluid systems which include pumps, compressors, purifiers, heat exchangers, actuators and valves without Supervision. Capable of accomplishing the testing of equipment to ensure systems meet 4E specifications, references and drawings without Supervision. Capable of accomplishing the installation and testing of various shop equipment. Performs other related tasks as assigned, some of which may become essential to the position.

Requirements for this role include:

· Minimum of 5 years of marine/ or shipyard experience preferred

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics

· Ability to pass a background check for base access (DBIDS)

· Can work at heights or in confined spaces
