The CSR carries out all customer service activities such as responding to inquiries, processing orders, and handling complaints, in a prompt, courteous, and effective manner. Other responsibilities include phone duties, greeting visitors, scheduling, and other clerical duties as directed by the DC Manager or Customer Service Supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS includes the following.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CUSTOMER SERVICE - Process and input all customer orders. Run stock reports to check for product availability. Generate all related paperwork and necessary information required for customer work orders, checking all orders for special requests, and post inventory records. Coordinate special and/or last minute shipping requests. Trace orders as required and notify customers of any activity concerning their merchandise. Follow up with other departments to ensure the service standards are being met. Assure proper invoicing of accounts by verifying computer-generated invoices. Furnish shipping and tracing information to customers as required. Maintain damage records and back-order logs. Handle returned merchandise in an efficient manner and assures proper credit is given to customers.
Maintain a good working relationship with customers by responding to all inquiries and complaints concerning orders, invoices, inventory counts, etc, in a courteous and efficient manner. Report customer feedback to management, including any signs of customer dissatisfaction. Act as a liaison between the warehouse and the customer in administration of accounts and between the office and customer regarding invoicing and credit changes.
CLERICAL - Oversee all paperwork associated with orders and maintain the corresponding files. Prepare and reports concerning customer service activities. Maintain current and accurate procedure book, which details the processing requirements for each account. Answer phone calls and operates various types of office machines and computers necessary to perform duties. Greet customers and visitors to the office and correspond with customers as required.

QUALIFICATIONS - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - Not required to have a degree with this position, general office experience is required. Must have prior Customer Service Experience in a Warehouse Environment, Communication Skills, Multi-tasking skills, Computer skills-specifically with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)experience (a plus)
REASONING ABILITY Ability to follow procedures and work instructions.
COMMUNICATION & OFFICE SKILLS Ability to read and write effectively and have strong communication skills. The ability to operate office machinery is required, as well as work on the computer.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to perform calculations involving adding, counting, subtracting, division and multiplication. Pass the company math test.

PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT DEMANDS - The physical and work environment demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be capable of sitting, keypunching, typing, working on various computers for extended periods of time.
