Lawn Butler is looking for talented, hardworking individuals to join our Snow Removal team for the Winter Season in the Salt Lake Metropolitan Area. This position is on-call based because we work according to the weather, so hours per week fluctuate. Crews are usually made up of 2-4 people (refer your friends!) keep in mind that businesses do not run 24/7. Most of our work is done overnight or early morning while parking lots are vacant). You must be capable of lifting 50 lbs and you must supply your own boots, jackets, gloves, etc. Applicants must be able to work long shifts in heavy snow, be available between the hours of 12 AM to 9 PM and capable of working up to 18-hour shifts.
For our plow driver positions you will be in a company provided vehicle with a plow and electric salter machine attached to the vehicle. This position will be in charge of managing a variety of clients properties to ensure that snow and ice are eliminated from the various surfaces traveled by vehicle and on foot of the patrons. The majority of this work is performed prior to the opening of those businesses to make it as safe as possible for those working or visiting the property.
From April to October we are hiring for our landscaper positions, which have a different pay structure and job requirements.
Snow Removal Requirements
The ideal candidate will have reliable transportation and a hard work ethic
Candidates must be hardworking, dependable, honest and committed
Lifting of 50+ pounds may be necessary
Attention to detail is key as safety is our top priority
A valid driver’s license is needed; however, reliable transportation will be required to either get you to your designated shop or work site
Snow Removal Responsibilities
Completing training and being able to pass an exam on safety and proper snow removal is required. Training is compensated
You will be using various pieces of equipment such as snow blowers, salters, ATV's, plow trucks (if you have a drivers’ license), and different types of shovels
Work outdoors in all types of weather
Proper care and maintenance of the equipment will be part of the position, whether it's doing the maintenance or reporting those needs through the proper channels
Filling out logs of work completed will be necessary to get paid
