We are a dynamic, fast-growing, entrepreneurial law firm seeking to engage an experienced CPA for our tax practice. Our main office is located in Bainbridge Island, Washington. We prefer a team member who can work in our office, but we are willing to discuss remote/virtual options for the right candidate. Our firm counsels and assists individuals and business owners located in and outside of Washington with sophisticated tax, estate, and business planning and related compliance (including tax preparation, legal documentation, and IRS representation) covering a broad array of needs and industries. Our main objective is to help our clients keep and protect their wealth and assets for the good they want to do for themselves, their families, and their communities. We project significant growth over the next several years. We want to hire an “A+” team member who is dependable, detail-oriented, achievement-oriented, and able to work collaboratively as well as independently. This position will be responsible for doing the following things: preparing and reviewing federal and state individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and estate tax returns advising on transaction planning and analyzing the issues researching tax issues and developing written analysis for clients representing clients before the IRS (experience with the Washington DOR a plus) preparing and reviewing tax projections managing “tax season” workloads and who: wants to be a key employee of a fast-growing firm has an ability to be creative in finding value-add solutions for our clients is comfortable talking directly with clients takes pride in providing exceptional service enjoys working collaboratively is dependable, accountable, and reliable enjoys and welcomes challenges is able to manage the “urgency” that can arise with this kind of work QUALIFICATIONS Required Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting CPA licensed with the State of Washington Board of Accountancy Minimum of 5 years’ experience at a public accounting firm with experience as a “Tax Manager” or “Senior Tax Manager” Important Willingness to work a 50-hour work week during “tax seasons” Experience with tax preparation and projection software (experience with UltraTax CS a plus) Experience with research software Experience with gathering records from QuickBooks files COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Salary – DOE Bonus Eligible Paid Time Off Medical Insurance 7 Paid Holidays Paid AICPA/WSCPA Dues and Required Continuing Education Costs Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 5 - 10 years
