National law firm seeks an experienced Tax Paralegal. The successful candidate will be part of an established and successful team of attorneys, paralegals and support team members.
Tax Return Preparation, including: Federal estate tax returns and state-level estate tax returns; Federal gift tax returns; Fiduciary income tax returns and Individual income tax returns.
Probate Administration, including: Probate pleadings to open and close decedent’s estates; Probate pleadings to open and close guardianship estates.
Administration and Settlement of Estates and Trusts, including: Probate estates; Trusts; Guardianship estates.
Accounting and Inventories, including: Preparation of accountings and inventories for probate estates, trusts and guardianship estates.
Trust Funding, including, Preparing stock certificates, deeds, and other property transfer documents to fund revocable and irrevocable trusts
Research: Research tax forms, publications, and related matters as requested
At least five solid years working as a Paralegal in Tax and Estate Planning;
Strong written and oral communication skills. The candidate will be expected to communicate internally with the attorneys and other professionals within the office and outside the office with clients, court personnel, vendors and other third parties;
Computer Skills & Other Professional Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio. Candidate should be a Notary Public and/or
willing to become a Notary Public
Hours are 9-5:30 with flexibility to work overtime as needed.
