The Downstream Manufacturing Associate will actively support manufacturing efforts for a well-established and rapidly-growing bio-pharmaceutical organization. The downstream manufacturing associate will conduct the execution of manufacturing various kinds of protein and antibody purification processes.
Responsibilities of the Downstream Manufacturing Associate:
Leads all processes and tasks related to a portfolio of clinical product as it pertains to the downstream manufacturing process
Executes in-process sampling, protein purification, activation procedures, creation of bulk drug substance
Independently operates TFF (tangential flow filtration), HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography), column packing and unpacking, and other chromatography
Engineers fresh ideas and new techniques to solve operational, equipment or other manufacturing issues in a more efficient, effective and safe manner
In charge of completing internal and external documents, summary reports, and batch manufacturing records (BMR) for all steps involved in the downstream manufacturing process to ensure it meets the necessary quality and safety standards
Qualifications of the Downstream Manufacturing Associate:
2+ years of experience in downstream manufacturing
Knows and abides by the current GMPs, operational protocols, and standard operating procedures
Bachelor of Science in Biology, Chemistry, Molecular Biology or other related field required
