Network Administrator (Clearance)

Growing government contractor looking to bring a Sr. Network Administrator onto their team. The position does require a DOD Secret Clearance.

As a Lead System Administrator, you will:

• Provide subject matter expertise in system administration and support for one or more of the following technologies: Windows workstations/servers/OS, Linux workstations/servers/OS, Network devices, Storage/Backup, Active Directory, and Identity & Access management in classified program areas
• Provide Active Directory Administration Support
• Proficiency in VMware administration and Linux operating systems
• Assist in defining, supporting, and implementing group/local policy administration
• Perform system auditing activities
• Perform advanced system troubleshooting and issue remediation
• Perform advanced configuration of support and administration software tools
• Perform advanced application troubleshooting and issue remediation
• Take initiative on small ad-hoc projects and process improvements
• Perform system patching and execution of compliance related tasks
• Manage escalations from L1 and L2 resources
• Mentor junior, less technically advanced team members
  

Basic Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Active DoD Secret clearance
• CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent
• Creative problem solving
• Ability to communicate clearly, either in presentation or ad hoc format, to internal team members and client leadership stakeholders; strong interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Windows (Server 2008/2012/2016/2019, Windows 7, 10, 11) systems administration experience
• 3+ years of Group/Local Policy management
• 3+ years of experience with Windows Active Directory account management
• 2+ years of experience with Linux RHEL 6/7/8 administration (desired)
• Compliance with ITIL process and effective communicator across multiple teams
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business and IT leadership stakeholders who may not be intimately familiar with the topics
• Leadership experience
• Military, government, or defense industry experience
