Director of IT (Partially Remote)

This position allows for 3 days per week remote / work from home.

Salary: $150,000 - 180,000/year

The Director of Information Technology (IT) is responsible for the management, strategy, and execution of the technology infrastructure. The Director of IT is the face of infrastructure technology of the organization and leader of the team that supports information systems infrastructure. The director is also responsible for the development and maintenance of programmatic infrastructure across the organization. The role may supervise up to 8 individuals, or as determined appropriate by the CI/SO.

Technical Oversight:

• Develop IT operational strategy that is focused on the technology needs. This strategy will clearly define resources, systems and technology needed to support the organization and will continually evolve.
• Participate in the leadership and management of the Business Technology and Support (BTS) organization to develop future direction and goals
• Maintain all necessary documentation for the infrastructure including diagrams and standards of operating procedure (SOPs).
• Utilizing best practices, establish protocols for the support, implementation, and configuration of infrastructure technologies.
• Plan, deploy, and maintain infrastructure for our computing and telephony needs.
• Ensure back-up and disaster recovery plans are in place, tested regularly, and working as planned.
• Lead and advance our move to cloud-based technologies
• Ensure 3rd level technology support is being provided seamlessly across the technology infrastructure ensuring focus is provided to tickets escalates through 3rd party service desk.
• Maintain learning first attitude through continued education and training, and participation in professional groups, industry events, and conferences.
• Work with senior leadership to develop KPI reporting process. Reports will be provided weekly and monthly
• Provide weekly status reporting on projects, and wide-spread incidents
• Provide Incident forms where appropriate

• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT operations
• Minimum of 5 years' experience overseeing IT teams and projects
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or Technology Discipline preferred.
• Certifications from ITIL, CISCO, ISACA, or PMI and continued education preferred
• Heavy experience with Microsoft Exchange and Windows Server systems.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Exceptional understanding of computer systems, networks, telecom, databases, storage system, disaster recovery, and cloud environments
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and projects
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Team focused
• Ability to travel as needed to support RHD programs
