Cloud Integration Engineer

Growing Engineering firm looking to bring on a Cloud Integration Engineer to their team. The position allows for extensive Telecommute but viable candidates need to be willing to go to their Baltimore office at times. Green Card holder candidates acceptable but US Citizens preferred. 

Required Skills/Qualifications:

Hands-on experience with representative technologies and tools

Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence administration and development

Jira and Confluence workflow development and automation across projects and platforms

Automaton tools such as bots and triggers

Hands-on experience with platform integration technologies and tools such as API, Webhooks, plug-ins and smart connectors.

Knowledge of modern software development practices such as containerization, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Git.

Experience with Linux and Windows configurations

Experience with SQL databases

Integration using one of more server-side languages such as Python or Shell

Experience working with IT processes such as Change Management and Incidence Management

Service development

Must be able to develop, maintain and automate application layer services

Experience with agile and waterfall development procedures

Analytical and troubleshooting skills

Strong analytical skills to solve complex problems, interpret data and metrics

Ability to resolve complex system integration and deployment issues between software and IT infrastructure.

Testing

Practical experience with rapid prototyping and test automation

Experience in setting up test beds 

Experience documenting test results, KPI metrics, and test coverage and communication issues effectively

Experience writing test plans and strategies for unit, integration, and validation tests

Collaboration and communication skills

Ability to collaborate and team up across the Institute

Experience with user adoption of new technologies

Effectively communicate both verbally and written with project teams, management and clients concerning status of work

Moderate and participate in peer reviews

Excellent vendor relationships

Education

Bachelor degree in technical field such as systems engineering or computer science from an accredited University

Desired Experience/ Skills (Nice to Have):  

Knowledge of AI packages for AI-powered data integration

Ability to modify the repository schema of an existing application to support new data items,

Develop data mining and data ingest processes for new data

Administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the application  

Experience managing software code using Git

Experience using visualization platforms such as Tableau
