Salary: $60,000 - 70,000/year

Collaborate with business to determine the objective of their IT service request and document the business requirements to facilitate implementation of new or improved processes/systems. Challenge business to think outside the normal processes and promote efficiency in the way of doing business. Identify business strengths and opportunities and offer recommendations based on research for areas of improvement. Plan, organize and deliver work sessions for gathering business requirements. Review and edit requirements and business processes, as necessary, based on proposed solutions. Facilitate the research and evaluation of possible system solutions.

Technical Business Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Performing system analyses on software programs, applications, networks, and web services.
  • Determining system efficiency and functionality by liaising with internal departments and end-users.
  • Reporting to Management and obtaining approval for system development projects.
  • Facilitate integrating new systems, programs, and applications with business operations and services.
  • Analyzing and improving the processes for IT support services.
  • Ensuring end-user proficiency with new systems, programs, and applications across departments.
  • Monitoring product licenses and ensuring compliance with IT industry regulations.
  • Ensuring that computer hardware remains compatible with system enhancements and updates.
  • Promoting system efficiency and security by integrating performance metrics.
  • Implementing new advancements in the field of system and enterprise architecture.

Technical Business Analyst Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology, and an accredited qualification in management consultancy, or similar.
  • Experience in technical business analysis in a related industry.
  • Knowledge of programming languages like SQL and system integration solutions in Microsoft Technology stack.
  • Ability to facilitate internal end-user proficiency and lead training sessions.
  • Ability to maintain efficient customer portal support and feedback channels.
  • Ensuring optimal system functionality via integrated diagnostics.
  • Knowledge of data security is desired.
  • Ability to keep up with IT advancements.
  • Exceptional communication skills toward facilitating the gathering of requirements, tracking tasks, and support.
