As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the machines are working properly and inspecting the parts created for defects or impurities.
Position Summary: Perform duties to support the production of rubber. Perform various responsibilities including safety, quality, delivery, problem-solving.
Job Specific Responsibilities and Duties - Performs rubber testing for all compounds. - Weighs up chemicals to make rubber using computer-controlled weigh up equipment. - Observes all safety rules and uses good safety work habits. - Performs all related job duties as required.
Working Environment - Loud production environment, primarily. - Environment includes moderately high heat and dust. - Works in close proximity to moving equipment.
Physical Requirements - Major portion of work schedule (95%) is spent walking, standing, stooping, bending, and repetitively lifting up to 55 lbs. - Mill operation requires twisting, reaching, and transferring (Cart-to-cart) of up to 220 lbs. - Wears dust mask, leather gloves, safety glasses and safety shoes, major portion of the shift.
