Shipping Clerk

Primary Role: Ensure that all small pack shipments are packed and shipped in an efficient and safe manner. Load and unload product and materials from trucks with forklift.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Unload Less Than Truckload (LTL) & Full Truckload (FTL) deliveries with propane operated forklift, checking for damage as product is being off loaded 
   • Verify the contents and quantities of each delivery against the packing slip noting any discrepancies, as well as ensuring the product is not damaged and labeled per company standards
   • Locate product to their designated areas
2. Verify and sign for small package deliveries via Fed Ex, UPS and vendors
   • Verify the contents and quantities of each delivery against the packing slip noting any discrepancies, as well as ensuring the product is not damaged and labeled per company standards
   • Locate product to designated areas or personnel
3. Pick, pack and process all outgoing small package shipments
4. Maintain and assist with product location control
5. Maintain a clean and organized working environment
6. Assist warehouse and shipping teams as assigned
7. Assist with loading outgoing LTL shipments
8. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma  or equivalent required

• 1 year experience with domestic Shipping and/or Receiving, or related experience required.  International shipping experience preferred

• Forklift experience

• Experience with Fed Ex Ship Manager and UPS Worldship Programs preferred

• Computer and keyboarding skills: Excel, Databases, and Word Processing

• Ability to adhere to company policies, quality assurance programs, procedures and safety standards

• Good interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work load in order to meet deadlines

• Ability to work independently and with teams.

• Must be detailed oriented

• Ability to work overtime as needed, including weekends

• Ability to withstand weather conditions, non-climate-controlled environment
