Impact and Opportunity:
The Sr. Planner will be responsible for the overall development of master planning, programming, and conceptual design documents and graphics. This position may require domestic and international travel to a variety of locations for hands-on work with clients. Examples of projects that the Senior Planner will be responsible for are: Transportation Management Plans, Multimodal Studies, Area Development Plans, Strategic Execution Plans, Building and Site Conceptual Designs, and facility condition assessments.

The Sr. Planner will be responsible for the overall development of master planning, programming, and conceptual design documents and graphics. Key Responsibilities:
- Serves as a facilitator during workshop
- Performs a variety of tasks related to the collection, analysis, and interpretation of a variety of quantitative and qualitative data to prepare reports and maps.
- Leads field evaluations and assessments
- Leads internal and external project review meetings
- Manages and researches planning requirements and standards
- Supports the preparation of proposal and business development efforts
- Supports team leadership roles to aid project execution
- Applies a knowledge of urban and transportation planning principles, best practices, & techniques of planning
- Prepares or reviews written and graphic reports
- Directs, mentors, and guides team members and staff; provides performance evaluations and reviews as directed
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, or related field of study.
- Experience: Five (5) to ten (10) years' job-related experience.
- Licensure/Certification: AICP or RLA (Preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with transportation, federal, or master planning projects.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint), Adobe Suite, and Lumion (or other rendering software).
- Must possess strong oral & written communication skills, and have strong organizational & time management skills. Must be able to work both independently and as part of a project team.
