The Solid Waste Department of Lake County

is seeking a highly motivated, dependable, organized, self-starter to fill the role of

Office Administrator.

Under general supervision of the Solid Waste Program Manager, this position provides general reception, providing internal and external customer service, phone reception, data entry, preparation of outgoing and incoming correspondence, preparation of monthly reports, filing, operating office equipment and computers, managing and utilizing databases. The position is responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties such as general bookkeeping, monthly billing and invoicing in accordance with County policies and legal requirements. Duties also include performing clerical functions such as taking meeting minutes, assisting staff with special projects and responding to information requests, and doing research related to solid waste fee assessments.

Needless to say, no two days will be alike and there will be no time to get bored!

The successful candidate should have at least five (5) years of related work experience in an office environment. A combination of work experience and education may be considered. Must be skilled in the use of word processing and database software and standard office equipment. Experience with Black Mountain Software is beneficial. A valid Montana Driver license is required.
