Geothermal HVAC Heating & Cooling Technician -- experienced

We're seeking to add an experienced HVAC technician in the eastern or southeastern Finger Lakes region as a lead installer and service person for our residential geothermal heating & cooling systems in that area. The first few months, however, would require travel to other areas of the Finger Lakes and our headquarters in Walworth, NY to train with our installation & service manager to become competent in installing the inside portion of geothermal heat pump systems. After the training period, a company vehicle will be provided; until that time, use of a personal vehicle will be reimbursed at the IRS rate.

This position generally involves installing, commissioning, maintaining, troubleshooting, & repairing heat pumps and their distribution systems. Must have experience in high & low voltage wiring, sweating copper pipe. Experience installing heat pumps -- ground- or air-sourced, hydronic distribution systems, and ductwork is preferred.

Compensation package includes wages from $27-32/hr (depending on skills and experience), company contribution to IRA (after first year), smart phone allowance, tool allowance (after first year), travel reimbursement and/or company vehicle, employer-contributed medical insurance, and profit sharing. Our normal work week is Mon-Thu, 10-hour days. Typical commute is directly to the job site and occasionally to our shop to pickup equipment and materials; 2- to 3-night stays (at company expense) near the job site are sometimes required.
