Forklift Operator/Hi-Lo Driver - 17.50+/hr

Location: Wixom, MI

We are currently seeking an experienced Hilo/Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in Wixom, MI. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift and other equipment in order to move materials across the manufacturing floor. They will also be responsible for safely loading and unloading products, inventory management, and maintaining accurate records of all shipments. Additionally, they will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and providing assistance with other warehouse duties as required.

1st Shift - 6am - 2pm $17.51 (+ $1.70 attendance bonus = $19.21/HR)

2nd Shift - 2pm - 10pm $18.11 (+ $1.70 attendance bonus = $19.81/HR)

3rd Shift - 10pm - 6am $18.41 (+ $1.70 attendance bonus = $20.11/HR)

*Attendance Bonus: $1.70/HR every day you show up on time*

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- Operate a forklift and other equipment to move materials across the manufacturing floor

- Follow safe operating procedures and maintain a safe work environment at all times

- Safely load and unload products, organizing them accordingly

- Maintain accurate records of all shipments, ensuring that all paperwork is properly completed

- Communicate and coordinate with other team members to ensure the timely and efficient execution of all tasks

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and report any issues to management

- Provide assistance with other warehouse duties as required

- Ensure that all materials are stored and handled in accordance with safety procedures

- Follow all company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2 years of experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing or warehouse environment

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment

- Knowledge of inventory management, shipment and receiving procedures

- Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, indoors and outdoors, and various types of equipment. The successful candidate will be required to frequently stoop, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds. The position may also require the individual to work in noisy and/or confined spaces, and may be exposed to various weather conditions.
