Digital Machine Operator

We are a growing label manufacturing company located in Murrieta, CA, we currently have three printing presses and two finishing units. We are seeking a full-time detail-oriented Digital Machine Operator to join our team. The Machine Operator will work under the direction of the Production Manager and will safely control various machines and equipment involved in production.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Operates machinery in accordance with work order specifications. Additional machines may include secondary digital die cutter, such as Digicon, RotoFlex, and New Foil. This is not similar to a CNC machine.
- Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
- Reviews work orders and quality forms to understand the scope and parameters of print jobs and ensures jobs run correctly according to art content, sizing, and spacing.
- Adjusts machine according to correct specs and uses correct materials such as paper, film, dies, plates, lamination, varnish, etcetera.
- Ensures each print job meets quality standards and when necessary, works with the graphics team on color matching.
- Closely monitors the machine to maintain quality of work and completes the required paperwork for each printing job.
- Informs supervisor of problems with equipment or materials.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to operate or to quickly learn to operate assigned machine and learn types of material to use per job.
- Strong math skills to calculate footage and quantities while operating machine.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain safety.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Previous machine operator experience preferred.
- Previous experience working with Mark Andy or Xeikon digital presses preferred.
- Physically able to operate machine and tools.
- Prolonged periods of standing while operating machine
- Able to bend & kneel frequently.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at a time.
On the job training will be provided. The work schedule is Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 3:30pm. Occasional availability on Saturdays is required when overtime is necessary. Pay is $18 per hour. Benefits are offered at 60 days of employment, which include sick pay, paid vacation, health insurance, and 401k.
