We are recruiting for an experienced, high-energy Business Development Director to expand our footprint in the greater Boston area, one of the best sales territories in the world.

The successful candidate will possess an ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, have an innate talent for building enduring networks and relationships, and be passionate and persistent towards reaching their goals while keeping a focus on how best to serve the needs of the sponsor and the project.

The territory is the greater Boston area; candidates residing in Boston, with an active network in the local biopharma community, are strongly preferred. Candidates residing in the Northeast will also be considered. What you will do: Responsible for identifying and securing new business as well as maintaining professional relationships and growing existing client base.

Work closely with our Operations team to develop service plans and budgets that separate us from our competition. This is a work from home opportunity with approximately 5% overnight travel required. What you should know: Previous experience selling drug development services.

Highly self-motivated. A strong track record of sales and new business development. An existing, relevant network of biotech and pharma contacts in the Boston area.

Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, familiarity with sales automation systems, like Salesforce. What have you done: Positive, energetic, "go-getter" personality with humility and business acumen. Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to work in collaboration across LabConnect and our client companies.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract research in business development with consistent above-target performance. Proven track record working with mid and high-level contacts within biopharma. Bachelor's degree (in Science or Business preferred).

History of success working from a home-based office environment. Compensation and Benefits Base salary plus commission and bonus. Extensive benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental, and vision benefits.
