Manufacturing/Quality Engineers - Sterling, VA

La Jolla Logic is currently looking for multiple Specialty Engineers (Logistics, Quality, and/or Manufacturing) of varying years of experience and specialties (Jr, Mid, Sr levels) to join our team in developing next generation Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Electromagnetic Warfare (EMW), and Information Operations (IO) systems solution for the Department of Defense (Sterling, VA). The next generation solution will enable enhanced combat systems integration, Open System Architectures, modularity, scalability, and increased automation utilizing machine learning and analytics.

Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals on a program that leverages the best practices in Model-Based Systems Engineering and Agile software development to design, produce, field, test, and sustain state of the art capabilities across Navy surface combatant platforms and shore facilities in support of our nation's warfighters.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for applying deep domain knowledge in specialty areas of engineering in order to deliver systems that meet functional requirements and are cost-effective to manufacture, test, repair, maintain, train, operate, and dispose of.
• Responsible for researching, designing, developing and supporting systems and processes that provide for the efficient and effective production of complex products or solutions.
• Develops systems that are suitable for the cognitive, physical, and sensory abilities of the intended users, and develops systems that improve survivability.
• Areas range from development activities (design of interfaces, diagnostics, and modular systems) to quality and testing activities (Failure Mode Effects Analysis; Failure Reporting and Corrective Actions; hazard analysis).
• Responsibilities typically progress from inspection, testing, and analysis support to applying expertise in industry best practices and tools, developing new system designs, and analyzing highly complex problems.
• Conduct studies to determine the most efficient sequence of equipment, operations, and workflow within a production facility or to determine how product or solution characteristics contribute to effective and efficient manufacturing techniques.
• Evaluates cost factors and recommends methods for economic utilization of production facilities and personnel.
• Prepares cost estimates for proposed projects.

Salary Range: $70,000-$155,000

Requirements:

• Experience levels: Junior (2 years), Mid (3-6 years), Sr. (7-11 years), SME (12+ years).
• Understanding of and/or prior experience in Specialty Engineering, such as Quality, Manufacturing, or Logistics.
• Understanding of DoD Engineering or prior experience commensurate to years of experience in the field.
• Ability and willingness to learn new engineering concepts, methods, processes.
• Active TS is required for consideration. Candidate will be required to obtain SCI eligibility and be read onto the program.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
