Job Description


Summary: Provides a variety of complex and technical administrative duties to assure efficient support services to the Facilities Department.

Requirements: Any combination of training and experience equivalent to five years responsible administrative experience with a minimum of three years specialized office systems experience related to purchasing, accounting, personnel and facilities. College level course work may partially substitute for experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  1. Ability to plan, organize, schedule, and perform administrative and office tasks.
  2. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and diplomatically with staff and public.
  3. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions.
  4. Proficient in operating a variety of office machines including but not limited to copy machine, postage meter, fax machine, teleconferencing equipment, and A/V equipment.
  5. Proficient in operating a variety of software programs including but not limited to Word, Microsoft Office, Excel, and Adobe Pro.
  6. Demonstrated ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
  7. Ability to understand and maintain confidentiality.
  8. Ability to produce accurate work, to meet deadlines, and to work as a team player.
  9. Ability to maintain complex records and to prepare reports from a variety of statistical, technical and incident information.
  10. Ability to handle agency cash/checks in a responsible manner.
